I was expecting to see a couple of men at my door holding an end each but was surprised to see one man on his own, holding the carrying handle of a box containing my monitor. It`s quite lightweight for something that size and very easy to unpack. On that point, make sure you unpack it up-side-down so that the base can be fitted straight away and then turned the right way up … Voila !
Connecting it up was a breeze and with multiple inputs (it gives you a choice of HDMI, DVI or VGA) I didn`t have to fiddle around with what should go where. It boasts a 1920 x 1200 resolution and as soon as the computer booted up, I set it to that and now have more desktop space than is good for me but I`m enjoying it.
The brightness was set to 100% which was way too high so using the on-screen controls secluded neatly under the front of the monitor, I took it down to about 50% and found colours and clarity coming through that I never realised existed. Surfing is great as I can see the full width of pages or with two browsers open, put them side by side for comparisons and/or twin surfing.
Games play nicely with no streaking as the original LCD`s used to create but that was expected I guess as technology moves quickly. It doesn`t have a SCART connection but with a TV-in card in the computer, I`m sure it`d be good as a television as well although no-ones getting their hands on this one … this is only for the computer.
I can`t begin to describe how much it`s improved computer usage, not only surfing or playing games but just general tinkering around so if you want a bigger computer screen, this is one to seriously consider as the price is set at an affordable level.

Nice monitor, but had no confidence in its durability,
I ordered this a few weeks ago, but have since returned it to Amazon for a full refund.
(Amazon refund is still the best in my opinion. They arranged the DHL collection and a few days later the refund was processed.)
The size and screen quality were very good for the price, although I thought the blacks weren’t as good as my old Samsung monitor.
The reason I returned the item was because the On Screen Menu did not work properly. At first, pressing the buttons on the monitor did not make it appear at all, but after some more fiddling with the buttons, the menu did appear. I thought it was a temporary glitch that was now fixed, but then problems like the brightness setting resetting on it’s own started happening and the menu again stopped appearing. Considering the problem occurred straight out the box, the big “Inspected” sticker on the box was worthless and I don’t trust their QA process. Even if I got a replacement, how long would it last?
You may think with a 3 year warranty you’ve nothing to fear, but I tried calling Repairtech (HannsG’s UK support service representative) and the number given on the Hanns.G website was a dead line. This did not fill me with confidence that my 3 year warranty will be properly honoured.
As another reviewer said, this monitor would be a great deal with good quality for a nice price, IF there was nothing wrong with it.

I read the reports of this monitor but I did not believe then.
I do now it is fantastic and I would recommend it to anybody .
if you are looking for a good monitor that is cheap and reliable and good then you would not go far wrong by this HANNS>G 28
I use mine for gameing and it is very good for this purpose it enables you to spot the enemy very quickly.
It is important to get the right resolution 1920 x 1200 not 1920 x by 1080
